Ballin Temple is located in Ardattin, Ireland on Ballin Temple. Ballin Temple is rated 3 out of 5 in the category love nature! in Ireland. Ballin Temple is a nature sanctuary nestled in a Special Area of Conservation along the River Slaney, Ireland. The name derives from Gaelic "Baile An Teampail" meaning "Home Sanctuary" and has been a special retreat for centuries, perhaps, as legend has it, even for the Knights Templar. We offer delightful holiday cottages ranging from the open plan rebuilt loft-house with old wood-burning stove, to refurbished tenant cottages, to a more modern lodge with central heating. All have quiet, clean air, spring water, wonderful views and nature just outside the door! A large octagonal tent (12 metre diameter) with wood burning stove and sound system offers a fun venue for retreats, celebrations, gatherings, weddings and parties. The walks along the river and through the ancient woods are a magical escape from the concrete jungle and will reawaken your senses and spirit. We also run a small-holding which involves hay, vegetables, poultry and lots of forestry.
