Jonathon is an American Filmmaker who has worked across a wide array of television genres and has a strong focus on comedy entertainment programming for broad audiences. Ulrich, a former founder of Pango Productions in Auckland, New Zealand (www.pango.co.nz) moved to Ireland with his Irish wife in April 2017 after spending 11 years in New Zealand. He has recently completed The School, a new sitcom for RTE2. Prior to this, Jonathon produced and/or directed over 200 hours of television - including Fremantle’s Sidewalk Karaoke; critically acclaimed satirical comedy with Taika Waititi, Brown Eye; The Game Chef for National Geographic International; successful primetime sketch comedy show Happy Hour; TV3 NZ’s long running documentary series about the Royal New Zealand Ballet, The Secret Lives of Dancers; American series for Yahoo Digital, Clean Break; and the Qantas Award winning Rise Up Telethon for the Christchurch Earthquake. Jonathon’s latest series Angelo’s Outdoor Kitchen on National Geographic International and RTE2’s The School were released in November 2017.
