The primary purpose of W.H Five Loaves is to facilitate the needs of both the homeless and those “at risk” in our community by ensuring their nutritional, housing and social needs are met. Social inclusion is the foundation of our organisation; we assist and encourage our clients by providing them with the individual care and help best suited to their specific situation, while ensuring that everyone who frequents our centre is treated with the respect and dignity that they deserve. Homelessness is more than just a roof over one’s head. If long term solutions are to be found, the complex issues associated with it need to be addressed i.e. housing, addiction, education and employment. In the past we have worked directly with the “at risk” and disadvantaged community to facilitate adult education and are working on providing this facility once again. Drop in Centre The Centre opens five days per week, Monday to Friday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. On average thirty five people frequent our centre daily for various reasons. Hot meals, Shower facilities, donated clothing. We also help when we can by providing sleeping bags and sometimes tents for rough sleepers. We try to greet people in a spirit of compassion, and help them in whatever way we can. Charity Shop Our Charity Shop is Located beside the Recycling shop at Beechwood close, Boghall Road, Bray. Here we sell clothes, upcycled furniture, bric a brac, ceramics, and many more items. We also welcome donations in many forms. Fundraising Our fundraising activates vary across the board. Ranging from, sponsored sporting activities, such as endurance or marathon events, local community events. A Golf Classic event. Weekly Bingo nights with prizes and hampers. We are also extremely lucky to have the support of local business, schools, and organisations working with us to raise money, donate food and help in any way they can.
