Sample-Studios is a non-profit company limited by guarantee established at the beginning of 2011 by an artist-led board of directors hailing from a range of disciplines, including drama, visual arts and music. We currently have over 50 members, with our main studio facility building located in Churchfield, Cork. Sample-Studios oversee the vibrant visual arts programme, TACTIC, which presents innovative exhibitions with a focus on curating, research and collaboration. Sample-Studios has a diverse studio residency programme which supports the development of new work by creative practitioners in the field of performing and visual arts. We advocate for artist payments, recognition of artists as workers and cultural policy to make Ireland, and more specifically, Cork, a cultural destination for makers and audiences alike.
