Screwpile is a unique provider of fast, clean and cost effective piling systems for both piling and underpinning solutions in the Irish market. Since 2009 we have re-introduced helical or screwpiles to general Irish contracting and domestic construction. Helical piles originally were invented by Belfast engineer Alexander Mitchel in the middle of the nineteenth century and survive to this day in particularly in marine locations such as the Spit Bank lighthouse in Cork Harbour and a similar structures throughout Ireland and UK. Our staff have over 30 years experience in piling and civil engineering. Our extensive experience spans the residential, commercial, transport and industrial markets. We can provide complete foundation designs and solutions for piling applications with 10 tonne mini-piles to 150 tonne large diameter piles.
