ACTII (Association of Chinese Translators and Interpreters in Ireland) was founded on June 18th, 2017. Based on the principles of “Faithfulness, Expressiveness and Elegance”, we aim to provide translation and interpretation services of the highest possible professional standards. It is also our mission to promote business and cultural exchange between China and Ireland. ACTII currently has 10 members. Most of our members hold bachelor’s or master’s degrees in English Language with the qualification of TEM-8 (Test for English Majors (Highest Level 8)) as well as multiple years of experience and practice in the translation and interpretation field. To date, our members have provided excellent interpretation services at various occasions, including political leadership visits, conferences (hosted by e.g. Cork City Council, Dublin Chamber of Commerce, and Shannon Free Trade Zone), and translation services in terms of official correspondence (for Wexford County Council, Limerick City & County Council, etc.) and other events (e.g. Web Summit 2019).
