Founded in 2014 the Collaborative Artists Collective is an arts-led organisation that is dedicated to the development, creation and presentation of experimental inter/multi and trans-disciplinary work. Established as a platform for open discussion, experimentation and collaboration across multiple art forms, the Collaborative Artists Collective engages with artists from a variety of practices , including visual arts, dance, music, theatre, performance art, social practice, design, digital media, and the literary arts. We view art as a transformational practice and aim to develop and implement collaborative projects that explore the intersections between fine art disciplines while at the same time connecting with a broader interdisciplinary inquiry enabling dialogue among, science, social science, humanities and other systems of knowledge. The Collaborative Artists Collective has four core functions: PRODUCTION LABORATORY EVENTS COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT Our ambition is to produce work that reflects the combined ideologies, methods and values of each each contributing artist. Our work is process driven allowing artists to freely create without the restrictions of producing a specific Objet d'Art. It is through this process that new practices and forms can emerge. We are committed to presenting work nationally and internationally and developing links for co-productions and collaborations. As part of our commitment to collaborative art practices we run laboratory workshops and residencies that aim to create new and innovative methods of collaboration. The Collaborative Artists Collective also organises and curates events to promote collaborative art practices as significant field of inquiry and to encourage further growth of this form of practice within Ireland. We actively engage with both the local and global community through collaborative arts workshops, talks and seminars.
