The Afforestation Project is an Irish not-for-profit organisation and charity (CHY:20161897) aiming to plant 14,000,000 trees in Ireland by 2021. Ireland’s woodland cover is currently around 10.5%, the lowest in the EU. Our goal is to increase this to at least 30%. In doing so, we will drastically offset Ireland’s annual CO2 emissions and hopefully inspire other countries to initiate similar programmes, resulting in an international movement to mitigate climate change.
