ÉIRElert is a centralised information app for disaster, crisis and emergency information in Ireland. The whole idea of the app is that it provides people with a way to access basic information about how to prepare for and respond to major emergencies, crises and disasters. The app works in a very simple manner. There are currently 3 tabs (this number will increase in future updates) on a bottom taskbar, commonly referred to as a tray. These tabs are ‘Active Alerts’ and ‘Actions’. The third one is simply a refresh button. ACTIVE ALERTS • Provides people with location based alerts for ongoing or inbound major events. • Works by a color coded system: Red, Orange and Green.
