Mullingar Employment Action Group (MEAG) was established in 1990, when a new purpose built Enterprise Centre was established in Bishopsgate St. Mullingar comprising 20 enterprise units. Since then MEAG has been responsible for the creation of in excess of over 2000 jobs in the Mullingar area and its surrounds through its interests, including ‘The Enterprise Centre’, ‘Mullingar Enterprise Technology and Innovative Centre’, ‘The Uniform Boutique’ and ‘Mullingar Recycling Resource Centre’. The continuing Aims and Objectives of Mullingar Employment Action Group are: • To create new, and develop existing, enterprises which provide viable employment • To create a central community image and presence aimed at the promotion of Mullingar as a Town of enterprise and initiative MEAG has 25 years of experience in supporting enterprise projects and social/community enterprise.
