We are a registered Irish not-for-profit charity dedicated to making positive life impacts for critically and seriously ill children throughout the island of Ireland. We raise funds to deliver services and supports to these sick children; we help fund vital research; and we provide guidance and information for their carers and families. Our 3 major initiatives: BUMBLEance: BUMBLEance is the first fully interactive ambulance on the planet specially designed for children. The high-spec BUMBLEance offers children safe and stress-free trips, as well as providing a wide range of entertainment on board to distract and entertain our young patients. Bee for Battens: Bee for Battens provides a Support Programme for families and communities affected by Batten Disease (Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinoses – NCL), an always fatal inherited disorder of the nervous system that manifests itself in childhood. Liam's Lodge: Liam’s Lodge will be Ireland’s first National Respite Centre for children with rare and genetic disorders and their families. Liam’s Lodge will be the country’s second palliative care centre for children with life limiting illnesses.
